Shamba Records is an agtech company that digitizes the agriculture sector in Sub Saharan Africa. We do this by providing software and hardware solutions , one of the leading company tools is a real time data collection tool, that collects farmer’s production data, links it to the aggregation centers and finally to the market. Throughout that process the company automates farmers payments, credit scoring, credit issuance, market linkage and agriculture remote extension services. Shamba Records leverages blockchain technology to eliminate ghost farmers and manipulation of farm and harvest records. Besides that, the company uses blockchain technologies to implement smart contracts on farmers who are leasing farms between other farmers. This enables a secure transparent peer to peer transactions between farmers.

Qualifications
Working knowledge of at least one backend framework — Laravel, Django or Node.js
Comfort with a modern frontend framework (React or similar)
Experience with relational databases — MySQL or PostgreSQL
Ability to design clean systems and implement working APIs end-to-end
Clear thinking, sensible trade-offs and an instinct for clean separation of concerns
Eagerness to learn, ship, and improve — we prioritise clarity over completeness
